"Hippity Hop, It's Potty Training Time"

Let me just start by saying Kan has been beyond easy with everything in the past (ex: taking away binki, no more bottles, etc.) so of course I told Paul this whole potty training thing is going to be a nightmare. We started with the small potty seat that goes on the big potty chair, Kan didn't care for that --- FAIL. He announced that he wanted a potty chair so I bundled him up and took him to Walmart to pick out his potty chair all by himself. He of course wanted the pink princess chair, what kid wouldn't, after all it does make fun noises while you tinkle. After a little coaxing in another direction, he was content with the Mr. Frog potty chair. Kan went potty within minutes of sitting on Mr. Frog for the first time, then for the rest of the day I changed numerous soiled outfits --- FAIL. Kan will sit on Mr. Frog grunting and pushing, making his abs look like they are hard at work. His strenuous abdominal workouts are usually followed by a few toots and some giggles. Moving along to BRIBERY, I'm not ashamed to admit that I use it more often than not. I put a bowl of treats on top of the cupboard in his bathroom so they were high enough he couldn't reach them but he could still see them to know they were his reward for pottying. Treats I will say work most of the time, Kan is now peeing on the potty more than in his big boy undies. We also have a stack of reading material for his pleasure, this helps distract him and often results in success on Mr. Frog. Yesterday he actually pooped for the first time, instead of being proud he blamed
sissy for pooping in his potty.
